Pissarro would have loved Airbnb. He spent his last 20 years in Eragny, deep in the countryside, but kept renting rooms and flats all over Paris. The logic was simple: stay home in summer and paint outside as long as the weather stayed easy on his eyes, then rent a place for winter and paint from the window. Windows and views, that was the only criteria that mattered. This one came from his flat at 204 Rue de Rivoli.
