Albert Lebourg was changed by the colors of Algiers, the city where the white of the walls and the blue of the sky plot together every day to give you a new perception of light and color. He spent a few years there as a drawing teacher, and came back with that understanding packed in his bags. After that, even his darkest winter scenes carried a touch of it.
