Houses at Auvers

Post-Impressionism

The story

Vincent left Auvers and the world a few weeks after this. An unknown, unsold, misunderstood genius. His brother Theo won't survive him long, letting behind hundreds of canvas, Starry Night and Irises pilling up in the cellar. Without Jo and the Père Tanguy, he would maybe have disappeared there. Theo's widow, Jo, took them and hung them all over the guesthouse she opened in the Netherlands. And in Paris, the Père Tanguy, who traded so many colors against Vincent paintings, showed them in his back shop personal museum.
