January 1874. The first big show is coming and Monet needs canvases. He leaves Camille and little Jean at Argenteuil and heads for Le Havre, a place he knows by heart. Takes a room at the Hôtel de l'Amirauté, like always. He paints the port. Likes how it turns out. But he doesn't keep it for the show. He goes with one he made from that same window two years earlier. One he'd named Impression, Sunrise.
