You didn't like the first one? Fine, here's another Grande Jatte. When Seurat showed A Sunday Afternoon, people laughed. A painting made of dots, no less. Only a handful of avant garde artists saw what he'd actually done. Everyone else rejected him. So, two years later, he went back. Same island. This time on a weekday morning, when nobody's there. No crowds, no parasols. No monkey. Just water, a tree, a couple of sailboats. And dots.
