This is one of his last paintings in Giverny. And Marie was not in this one. Theodore Robinson's French secret muse would stay in France, and he would go back to the United States. He was too sick, too depressed and too poor to stay and marry her. So he left, and her name remains a secret he took with him, only four years later.
