Three years before, Kandinsky was painting Composition VI, a giant 6 foot wide explosion of color. Then the war hit. As a Russian in Germany, he was suddenly an enemy alien. He fled Munich, left his partner behind, and landed in a Moscow running out of food, money, and art supplies. No more big canvases. No more oil paint. Just small sheets of paper, watercolor, and ink. This Kandinsky fits on your lap.
A new artwork wallpaper every week, early access to new collections, and 15% off your first order. No spam. Leave whenever you like.
