The story

1881. The Impressionist circle is falling apart. Too many egos, too many visions, too many fights. Monet is going solo. Renoir has stepped off the boat, at least for now. Sisley just leaves. Paris is too expensive, so he moves to the countryside near Fontainebleau. He'll stay for years. He'll know every turn of the trail, every angle on the river, every spot where the light hits just right. This French countryside will be his countryside.
