The story

Summer 1887. Germaine, Suzanne and Blanche are out on the River Epte.

They are not technically Monet's daughters yet. He will marry their mother a few years later. But they live together at Giverny as one big blended family.

This is just a Tuesday afternoon for them. Fishing, floating, killing time on the river.

Nobody is performing for the painter. They are just there. And Monet is clearly enjoying himself too.
