The story

Before Water Lilies and Irises, Giverny was an abandoned cider farm. Apple trees everywhere. Overgrown. Done.

Monet came in and rebuilt it. Redirected a river. Planted thousands of flowers. Created one of the most famous gardens in history.

But the apple trees stayed.

He trained them. Shaped them along the walls. Kept them producing.

For one week a year. That's how long apple trees bloom.

One week to paint paradise.
