The Impressionist nobody told you about - but they should . Nicolae Grigorescu went to Paris, studied with the best, stood next to Renoir and Monet. Then he went back to Romania and painted like this. Same light. Same loose brush. Same warmth. But art history barely mentions him. Because he chose to go home instead of staying where the fame was. This woman in a garden could hang next to any Monet and hold its own. You just never got the chance to compare.
