The story

That's the exact view from Monet's window. Palazzo Barbaro. A rich art collector had invited him for a three month stay. It was supposed to be a non working vacation. Venice was "too beautiful to paint" anyway. He came for Alice. And because the water lilies were driving him crazy. He shipped his materials ahead. Just in case.

37 canvases later, he went home.
